The last two weeks of December are the most dangerous driving time of the year and include the most dangerous day of the year in California.
According to Allstate, more insured’s crash their cars on December 15th than any other day of the year, and the month itself is the highest. It’s probable the spike in crashes is related to a combination of weather, holiday shopping, and other distractions.
It’s important for drivers to stay focused while at the wheel whether on the highway or in the driveway — on Dec. 15 and every day of the year.
So turn off those cell phones, place your holiday package in the trunk so they don’t shift around, and watch out for the other distracted drivers.
Most of all – have patience, and have a great safe holiday.
